Picking the Strongest Wedding Bands

As mentioned earlier, wedding bands become the symbol of the unbreakable bond between two people who have been united in marriage. If such is the case, a bond forged in the diamond is as strong as it gets. Diamonds are so strong that no metal can cut it, and the only thing that could is another diamond. The fact that it is used to cut other metals is a testament to its strong composition.

However, strength is not just why diamond is such a precious stone. Kings and queens have long found out that the diamond is as beautiful as it is strong. Even if uncut, it already plays with the light. In the hands of master jeweler, its beauty rises as well as its value. Though there was a time that only palaces had access to diamonds, today a married couple can choose from a variety of diamond wedding bands.

Patterns
A plain metal band is a popular form considered by many couples. However, a pattern would be prohibitively expensive to an already expensive diamond band. The cuts or karats decide the value of particular diamond. Cutting a diamond completely into a band would prove to be a challenge and would have an astronomical price indeed.

The solution would be to use another metal as a plain band and then have the diamonds lined up to a design picked by the couple. The metal band would either be gold or platinum, since they would be strong enough for the main stone. This is one of the few moments that the most precious metal is outshone by a stone. The design usually is not as extravagant as an engagement ring; in fact, simplicity is encouraged. Though this might be considered difficult as it is a diamond ring, many jewelry shops have concocted patterns and forms that still show elegance despite the simplicity. You can also choose to select one and modify it a bit to suit your preference.
